Outro
If the moodboard is where this text begins, it is also where it concludes. Not as a finished composition, but as an open surface that resists autonomy. Each image and potential meaning is provisional. Neither imagery nor theory can exist in isolation. The relationship between the matters discussed in this text is not something to demystify and clarify, but a tension to inhabit. The divisions that exist between art, fashion and mass culture try to solidify what is inherently gelatinous. Gelatin bleeds onto everything.
If imagination is the force that frees images from their singular existences, then moodboarding becomes a practice of liberation: a way of allowing images and meaning to become otherwise, to difuse.
